Israel

Israel is a small country only 70 plus years old but Israel the land has existed for over three millennia.  Our connection to Israel is an important part of our Jewish identity.  At First Hebrew this is expressed through offerings in adult education. Conversational Hebrew classes enrich our connection to the culture of modern Israel. Recently the theme of our Lunch and Learn series was “Life in Israel” presented via Zoom with Israeli guest speakers from different walks of life.   Virtual tours of Israel, Israeli music, poetry, current events regularly enhance our classes and events.
