First Hebrew will launch a Northern Westchester edition of the renowned Chai Mitzvah program beginning Sunday morning, October 21.
The goal is to explore your own unique Jewish spiritual side, making it more meaningful.
Use your head, heart and hands to reconnect and re-charge your Jewish identify.
Build your own “Jewish bucket-list”:
- Pick something you’ve always wanted to learn about.
- Engage in social action of your choosing.
- Find some way of expressing your deepening spirituality.
Similar to a book club, Chai Mitzvah meets monthly to discuss texts and share observations and experiences.
You need not be religious or a member of any synagogue to participate, and interfaith study is welcome; no prior background or training is needed.
The fee structure for the12 classes plus materials is as follows:
$54 for First Hebrew members
$72 for Friends of First Hebrew
$108 for non-members
